Adopting Dow Corning silicone material from the United States, the cross-sectional dimension of the light strip is 2.5mm * 6mm, and the cuttable length is 25mm. It has the characteristics of UV resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and can work stably in the working temperature range of -25°C to +50°C. The light strip uses 2216 model LED beads, with a color rendering index greater than 90. It has a unique optical light distribution structure design, providing a uniform lighting surface without shadows. It has IP67 waterproof performance and can adapt to humid and harsh outdoor environments. The working voltage is 24V,  the power is 5W/m, the luminous flux is between 107-130lm, the service life reaches 3600H, with a three-year warranty and CE, ROHS product certifications.

Raw Material Procurement

1.Chip Selection: According to the performance requirements of brightness, color temperature, color rendering index and other properties in product design, high-quality SMD LED chips are purchased from reliable suppliers. These chips must undergo strict sampling inspection before procurement to ensure that the electrical and optical properties meet the standards.
2.Circuit Board Procurement: Select the suitable high-quality FPCB board, measure its temperature resistance, conductivity and flexibility, and purchase various electronic components required for production at the same time, such as capacitors and resistors, all of which must meet the established quality standards.
3.Auxiliary Material Procurement: Purchase auxiliary materials such as 3M adhesive for strip assembly, solder paste for welding and glue for encapsulation and protection, and ensure that their viscosity, stability and other characteristics match the strip production process.

Patch Process

1.Solder Paste Printing: The solder paste is accurately coated on the pad positions of the FPCB circuit board. Using a high-precision solder paste printing machine and according to the preset template, the thickness and shape of the solder paste are ensured to be uniform and accurate, laying a good foundation for the subsequent bead patching. 

2.Bead Patching: With the help of an automatic placement machine, the purchased SMD LED beads are quickly and accurately attached to the pads printed with solder paste according to the design layout. The patching process is monitored by the machine vision system throughout the process, and slight deviations can be corrected in time.

Reflow Soldering

1.Parameter Setting: According to the characteristics of the solder paste used and the specifications of the beads, carefully adjust the parameters of each temperature zone on the reflow soldering machine, including preheating temperature, heating rate, reflow peak temperature and cooling rate. The accurate parameter setting is the key to the welding quality.

2.Welding Execution: Place the patched circuit board on the conveyor belt of the reflow soldering machine. As the circuit board passes through the preheating, reflow and cooling areas in turn, the solder paste is heated to melt and solidify, realizing the firm electrical connection between the beads and the circuit board. During this period, the operator pays close attention to the running status of the equipment.

Inspection and Repair

1.Visual Inspection: Conduct a preliminary visual inspection of the welded strip to check whether there are any virtual soldering, missing soldering, continuous soldering of the beads, whether the beads are damaged or displaced, and whether there are any scratches or other appearance defects on the circuit board.

2.Power-on Test: Connect the strip to the suitable 24V power supply, observe the lighting state of the beads, check whether the lighting is uniform, whether there is stroboscopic light and whether the color temperature is normal. Mark the defective products and arrange professional maintenance personnel to repair them.

Neon Extrusion

1.Materials Mixing and Processing: Add solid silicone raw materials and additives such as vulcanizing agents to the mixer in a certain proportion and stir and turn until the solid silicone is fully uniform. For some special requirements of light strips, it may be necessary to add color masterbatch and other materials to adjust the color.

2.FPCB Flexible Board Processing: The FPCB flexible board with installed LED beads and completed reflow soldering is subjected to aging shock treatment to test its stability and reliability. After the aging shock, the entire FPCB flexible board is placed on the workbench covered with anti-static leather for board separation and divided into single FPC flexible strips. And the brightness of each LED bead is tested, and the qualified ones are coiled.

3.Extrusion: Divide the stirred and uniform solid silicone as required, then send the FPC flexible strip into the extruder equipped with the extrusion die, and send the divided solid silicone. At the same time, turn on the baking oven and the extruder and start extrusion and baking curing. During the extrusion process, the plasticized silicone melt moves forward under the rotation of the screw and passes through the die of the extruder. The screw and die of the extruder exert pressure on the melt to extrude it into the sleeve or shell of the neon light strip according to the shape and size of the die and wrap the FPC flexible board in it.

Cooling and Shaping

1.Cooling: The extruded neon light strip immediately enters the cooling device, such as a cooling water tank or an air cooling device, so that the silicone quickly cools and solidifies and maintains the shape and size at the time of extrusion.

2.Shaping: The neon light strip after cooling has a certain hardness and shape stability and can be processed and treated subsequently.

Subsequent Processing

1.Cutting and Trimming: Cut and trim the extruded neon light strip according to the required length. Usually, cutting equipment or cutting tools will be used to cut the light strip into a standard length.

2.Inspection and Testing: Perform appearance inspection, power-on test, etc. on the neon light strip with installed light beads to check whether the light emission situation, color uniformity, electrical performance, etc. of the light beads meet the requirements and remove the defective products.

Assembly and Packaging

1.Assembly of Accessories: Paste 3M adhesive on the tested qualified strip to facilitate subsequent installation. For waterproof strips, additional sealing treatment will be carried out, and waterproof sleeves, rubber gaskets and other components will be added.

2.Packaging and Warehousing: Wind and package the strips in an orderly manner according to the standard length, such as 5000mm per roll, put on plastic film and carton packaging, attach the product label, indicating the specifications, model, production date and other information, and then move them to the warehouse for storage, waiting for shipment.
